Runo Lagomarsino His works often take a starting point in the colonial heritage of contemporary Latin America: the effects of violence and dominance revealed in the drawing of national boundaries on a map, in the iconography of a wallpaper pattern, or in the documentation of a football match.

Han har en BFA-examen (2001) från Akademin Valand, Göteborgs universitet, och en MFA-examen (2003) från Konsthögskolan i Malmö. Han deltog därefter i Whitney Independent Study Program, New York (2007–2008). Runo Lagomarsino is born 1977 and has been featured at the Venice Biennale, the Guggenheim (New York), Reina Sofía (Madrid), Malmö Konsthall, the São Paulo Biennale, the Dallas Museum of Art, and LACMA (Los Angeles). Lagomarsino was awarded the Friends of Moderna Museet 2019 Sculpture Prize.
